Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator - Need Info

I'm planning on getting an ajustable setup for the fuel pressure. Not sure what brand to buy. I was looking at an Accel #74750. It includes the the diaphram / spring assembly. Other brands are about the same price and afre for the cover only.
Any suggestions

Welcome to thirdgen.org!!

I used the Accel, been so long since I put it on, I don't recall any (if at all) problems.

Use the "search" button, and sit back and read the replies to see some pro's/con's of each.

Accel regulators are nice. Any brand will do well.

I thought I read some guys were having problems with the BBK afpr screw hitting the bottom of the plenum.

I make my stock one adjustable by tapping out the contour in the end of the housing, cutting down and adding a threaded sleeve (a T-nut) and cutting down the end of a bolt to center a washer to press against the spring assembly:

I did have to recess the bottom of the plenum in that area to get the range that I wanted, but that section is fairly thick. I ended up with an adjustment range of 37-65psi.

When the diaphragm failed and I couldn’t find a replacement one, I got the holley fpr which has a trick machined cap and thumbwheel adjustment plus a specific, shorter spring and diaphragm assembly allowing for a greater range of adjustment and easier adjustment.
