Different throttle position sensor?

I remember reading on TGO that someone had found a different tps. I need one that plugs in a different direction that the stock plug in the front. Either on top, back, or side would be the best. Can anyone be of any help?

Why not just extend your wiring harness a few inches?

Go to the junkyard and start walking. Thats what I would do.

I know for certain a V6 fiero TPS will stick out to the side. Some cars stick up, some back. You could also go to the parts store and tell them you need a GM TPS sensor for a custom project. But you want to see them. Any decent store will grab a handful of sensors and let you take a look. The only thing you might have to do is re-pin the sensor.

Edit to add the pic.
This is one that sticks straight up. not sure what it came from.

Extending it won't work, the K&N filter is the large type and won't allow for the TPS to be plugged in.

This is on a friends car, I was just telling him that I saw one that had the same plug was just aimed in a different direction. I've seen pictures of the sensor, but I don't remember which post it was in.

Does anybody know a part number of vehicle that might help me out.

here is a pic of the stock v6 fiero TPS. Thats the best I could find in a quick search. It might be a good start.

Interesting, I will have to do some more searching on the Fiero V6 To see if it will work.

Thanks.
