Code 22 back again
I have a code 22 again. I have replaced & set the tps, the ECM is new both are AC Delco parts.
The car will run fine for awhile & then throw the code & not want to idle or accelerate.
I have checked the voltage on the tps.
Could I have a bad wire? Can anyone tell me where the TPS grounds to? How would I check for bad wires, the parts on both ends are new I can only assume something is bad in the wiring. I would appreciate any ideas. Help!!!!
I want to drive my car this summer instead of being mad at it!!!

"A" Black Wire "Ground" - D2 @ ECM
"B" Dark Blue Wire "TPS Signal" - C13 @ ECM
"C" Grey Wire "5v Reference" - C14 @ ECM.
After you get the code again, do this,
Diagnostic terminal not grounded.
Ignition "OFF", clear codes.
Disconnect TPS and jumper 5v Ref. Circuit to TPS Signal Cir.
at harness connector.
Start Engine and Idel in neutral until Service Eng. Light comes on.
Ignition "ON", Engine stopped.
Ground Diagnostic Terminal and note code??
Code 21 - If TPS is Adjustable, adjust it to .54-.56v. If you have a
non-adjustable TPS, Replace it.
Code 22 - Remove jumper.
Check for 5v reference signal from ECM at TPS harness connector "C" to ground using a VOM.
4-6 volts - Open or Short to ground in Signal Circuit, Faulty ECM connector Terminal.
Below 4 Volts - Open or Short in 5v reference circuit, faulty ECM connector terminal.
Hope this helps!!
