Eng just died.
Cruising the other night and had the eng just up and die 4 times. 2 times i rolled to a stop and started it and 2 times I put it in N and started it while rolling. 99% sure it is fuel or spark (what else is there?), my question is if the fuel pump cut out would the eng up and die or would it sputter first then die? My first guess is the ign module but wanted input on possible fuel pressure lose before I start diagnosing it.
Thanks

I do have a FP gauge but it is under the hood, did not think about looking at it at the time, was just happy it fired up each time. Will have to see if I can get it die again and check the pressure. Glogged filter is def a possibility, will change to be safe.
Thanks

Anyway, I also vote fuel over spark. Check it all out.

Not fuel pressure, I was able to move my FP gauge where I could see it while driving and it did not drop at all when the eng died. My next thought is the ign module, any other suggestions?

Do you have a timing light? When it dies, you could hook up the timing light to see if there's spark.
It wouldn't be unusual to be the module, I've had a couple go on me.

It is intermittent and has only happened when driving, I have a spare module (that I should keep in the car) that I will try. Intermittent problems suck.

You can say that again, my 85 TPI has a few of em that I don't feel like figuring out right now. I work on cars everyday at work, and have 0 motivation to work on my own, lol. These cars can be a pain in the butt for some reason.
