Wierd question prolly.I have a 86 tpi sys with everything the intake includes and sensers.I have the maf too.What i dont have is the harness and ecm.The goal is putting this on a 350 and maybe boosting it(via turbo) to get rid of the 4800 rpm cutoff.I have read on here somewhere about people modding v6 harnesses and ecm to fit the v8--can this be done??.The reason i ask is i have a 89 60000 mile v6 mpfi car out here complete but ive let it sit for a couple years so engine is prolly locked.As for the coldstart injector cant i just plug the end of the fuel rail and just not connect it and not use it??Or is it better to leave it usable?Ive searched my heart out for a affordable decent harness and ive gave up so if i cant use/mod the v6 harness im gonna just build my own harness.Can the 6's ecm be used with a diff chip??If not which number ecm and chips i need??Money is not in good shape right now so i gotta do what i gotta do!!Any info appreciated.Thanks

 

I see no reason why you can't just leave the 9th injector in its place...including the piece that goes to the back of the fuel rail. The 9th injector is only powered by the cold start switch located in the front of the intake manifold. During normal operation, that injector is basically dead weight and is normally closed. As long as the injector isn't leaking, I would just leave it in there as-is.
