AS&M runner measurements...
Anyone have a set of measurements taken from AS&M - nonsiamesed LTR's? I see that aftermarket runners vary from 1.600-1.66 inches in diameter, and are all roughly 6-7 inches in length... but as the AS&M's are typically considered the "Supreme Runner" by manner - just curious what the runners really are.

Do a search.
I dont remember from what(gm high tech i think?), but results were posted about multiple versions of TPI equipment. Their cross section, length and diameter were all posted. Also flow numbers.(been a few of these over the years)
Believe the ASandM stuff was in there, but not sure what it got posted under

While our FAQ reports the following:
"Runner Type Length (in.) Port (in.)
TPIS large tube 7.625 1.660 round "
I took some quick measurements and got the following:
Flange to flange centerline length: ~8 5/16"
Port openings inner diameter measure (intake side port): 1.6723"
Runner inner diameter measure (smallest one to largest): 1.621 - 1.637"
Outside tube diameter: 1.750"

I like to pride myself on not asking question easily covered by using the search function that often 3.8, and I exhausted approximtely 50 minutes searching old posts before posting this question. The reason I recorded the time is because I figured I'd get a response like yours within the first 3-5 reply's... but you managed to beat my prediction
Prehaps you can suggest some "Keywords" to use to search, as I tried varying combinations with little luck.
Red Devil - that is an intersting deviation from the posted measurements in the FAQ.... Makes me wonder how meaningful it is to even compare runners based on those numbers...

Ya know
I was trying to be nice, no need to get all antsy over it.
If I had the time to answer all the PM's I get or every single question on any board I peruse thru I would be Superman.
Was just letting u know there have been quite a few posts concerning such things and some rather nicely documented and flow numbers to boot.
Magic keywords here dont exist, at least they wont until everyone learns how to spell.
Take care and next time I wont mention anything

You get very emotional Jeremy. The conclusion of my reply was that prehaps I was in error in not selecting the right keywords, not you. I think you are the type of person that will read a statement; and if it can be taken that way, assume it's some form of personal attack. Well that wasn't my intent, but if it would make it easier for you to sleep at night if you could blame me, that's fine.
Then again, I don't have the pressure of being the board all star, having the massive PM and Question "Load" that you apparently do, so I don't know what it's like to "Walk a mile in your shoes" I suppose.
