New LTR ET's
R/T .708
60' 1.889
330 5.330
1/8 8.236
1000 10.749
1/4 12.877

Its a 383, TF Heads, 219 cam, ASM Runners and Edelbrock Base. LS1 Injectors, SLP headers and a Stock GM S-10 Converter. Chip from www.LSRacingChips.com Also running though the "screened" MAF and stock firebird CAI setup.
Used a set of the new MT ET Street Drag "Radials" and they sure did hook. I know theres more in the car so I have to find it with the help of Jamie and the chip burning place. Gotta love LS Chips being 30 miles away lol.

Great times, I have a symilar setup, 383, TFS heads, slp runners, edelbrock base, 58mm TB, hooker shorties, 214 & 220 dur cam, vigilante 2800 converter, and 26x 10.5 MT ET streets, I'm still waiting to get a new timeslip, mabe in a couple of wheeks. Last time I was at the track, my best 1/8 mi run was 8.59 sec but that was on radial sreet tires, stock converter, and, stock chip. My runners and plenum are ported, but the base is not.
What kind of runners do you have? Any port job on your intake?
I hope my car can make it to low 8's on the 1/8, high 12's or even low13's on the 1/4 mi.
Keep up the good work and keep us informed

What kind of rear end you running? I'm worried my stock 10 bolt won't hang with that kind of setup (mine's going to be pretty simular) on Drag Radials....
What have you done in that department?
Any dyno's? What did you do with your transmission? Just the converter?
What about suspension mods?

Stock 3.27 9 bolt. As far as suspension I have UMI Pnhard bar and LCa's. BMR Torque arm and relocation brackets. I dont know if they helped cause my friend who I was racing also pulled a 1.8 on his 91 Z with bone stock suspension and BFG Drag radials. The last time I went to the dyno it was before we had a good tune and it was 276 HP and 391 TQ. I'd love to see what it is now.

Not bad at all. You and I would make a good race.
You have to change out the Firebird Cold Air intake system. That is a big restriction. I agree you have a lot more potential in your car.

There's more in that car. I was running those numbers last year with a similar 383 setup. Biggest difference would be I have a TPiS Miniram intake.
This summer I swapped to a set of 3:73's in the 9 bolt, and put the car on a dyno to tune it. Now I am running 12.4's @ 110+ mph all day. And just went 11.85 @ 114 on a rich 75 shot of "go-go-juice"!

Mkos1980 - What track did you run at? US 42 or Norwalk?
You have a great torque motor there. A good winter project would be to port the base and retard the cam to 109-110 intake center. Retarding the cam will boost power in your mid to upper rpm while the port work will help overall power.

you definately need a torque converter....
i'm running the same 1.88 60 foots on street tires as to your ET street slicks and i got a stock L98 with 2800stall LOL
nice times tho, but i would like to think a 383 TPI would trap 108 ...

i was able to stall it to about 2100-2200 but I would burn em bad. Most I could go was about 15-1700 and thats when I pulled the 1.8 I would hate to see the damage to the 9 bolt if it hooked at 2200 rpm and took off. lol

60' 1.894
330 5.497
1/8 8.482
1000 11.078
1/4 13.264

I have a 355 with Vortec heads LT4 Hotcam
SLP Runner
Edelbrock Headers
Banks Cat Back
SLP 24 lb injectors.
I have no suspension mods done to the car except I just put new shocks on last week. I ran the BFG Drag radials.
Also the chip in the car is from Formato's Fasterproms so for a mail order chip I suppose it did pretty well prob will have it tuned
by LSR next spring so Im hoping for 12's

scott57350,
Do you have any port work done, I have a very similar combo.
Is your trany stock?
How do you like you're vortec - I really like the way mine turned out -
could alway use more power of course

Yes everything is ported but nothing to crazy with it. It is the Stock tranny I just have a shift kit in it and the GM S-10 style torgque converter. Stock rear end with 3.23 as well. Have you had your out at the track yet?

No times yet, looking to get to the 1/8 mi racelegal events we have here in San Diego.
The only 1/2 mi tracks are in LA, I'm not sure if people still run at carlsbad.
