i am trying to find what ing module (in the dist) that i need
It is a 86 TA with a 350.
I still have the 305 module in now.

Will this work?
If not than what module do I need?
I tried geting a module from a 88 with a 350 but it didn't fit
(it was not coil in cap, but mine is coil in cap)

I don't see why the one you have wouldn't work.
Anyway, I use this page sometimes to look up info on modules:

There are some part numbers of modules there. Sounds like you have the 7 pin (large)

 

Same module used. If it worked before then it should now with a new engine around it.

 

the engine was swaped from a 305 TPI to a 350 TPI

So am I right in hearing that the 305 module will work with the 350 motor?
