Dyno Tuning

Ive been wondering how much power my LB9 could gain from a professional dyno tune. Is it worth the $250-$300? Or am I better off spending $600 on nitrous, and adding a solid 100HP/150TQ

Ive heard some poeple say it will add a few horsepower, others say it can make all the difference.

Some actual testimonies would help me out

yeah u probly could see some good gains.. who knows

whats ur definition of a good gain? 10hp? 30HP? i can see maybe an additional 15 hp with tune easy..

however is that worth the 300bucks? i'd buy some more bolt ons for now or nitrous

Ive been thinking 15-25HP for a stock LB9. Ive heard it can make upwords of 100HP on modified engines.

Probably better off with the nitrous kit I guess.

COMPLETELY stock? Dyno tune isn't worth it. Add some goodies like headers and CAI and you might want to get it done before the nitrous. Spraying on an untuned SD car that's already near the lean AFR limit at WOT can be really bad with nitrous. Is the 90 MAF or SD?
Get the dyno tune or better yet, get your own burner/adaptor/flash chip for like $125 and make your own track tune . What's more impressive, a car that makes hp on a dyno or one that shows gains at the track?
You might also look into replacing the fuel pump with something that will be able to keep up with the nitrous. A walbro 255lph should be a no brainer...

Do you want more power all around or just once in a while for racing. That should answer your question as to whether you should get a tune or nitrous.

Its my daily driver, so I only need the power on weekends. Which is why I consider using nitrous. But, knowing your car is in good tune is also something nice to know. If dyno tuning made like 50HP on a stock engine, I'd do it.

Ill probably ending up selling it by the end of summer anyway, so if I buy nitrous I can at least switch that over to my next car.

whats more important is dyno tuning your nitrous shot

that will make sure you air fuel is right and no risk to blowin up. and u can optimize your tune for the nitrous
