with a good tune as it should need one, i would say 320hp or close to that on motor. speed density is abit finicky when it comes to mods like that. especially a cam

that cam is the compucam 210/220 isnt it? looks familar. that should run good in TPI and require minimal tunning. you could get by by just running AFPR for the most part, but i'm not as sure on speed density. i know MAF could get by

the base and runners swap in that car should open things up alot.. along with the headers

my car with just headers/exhaust and 2800stall/3.27 gears has trapped 100.8mph

that combo should be well on its way to 105mph when tunned right

yes it is a compucam its about as far as I could go with the speed density without a mandatory tune.

I have been checking into head work as well. I figured I'd send the 083s into the shop for some porting, bowl work, bigger valves and three angle grind. I am hoping for 325 at the crank.

Next question is has anyone seen any good results from working over the factory heads?

thx

there was a thread on here with someone extensively working over a set of heads....

it gave a break down of what was done, from mild bowl blending to final stage of full out hogging the heads and larger valves

if you can do the work yourself and dont mind spending the time to do so.. you can get some very impressive flow numbers and make some good power

another thing, there's A LOT to be had BEFORE needing larger valves. Yes, 083's can make good power. Dollar for dollar, if you can't do atleast some(most) of the porting yourself, you'd probably be better off just buying some good aftermarket heads...

- and yes, that combo sounds pretty good for 325 ish, flywheel.
