tpi wire harness questions

Hi I need some help with identifing what these wires are and what they do. I am in the middle of a tpi to carb swap and have removed the engine and all the tpi wiring as a whole (no cutting)
I will be using a carb with no emission equipment. these wires are going under the dash from the computer harness heading towards the drivers side of the vehicle. what do these wires do and do i need to do anything about them??? the other 2 plugs out of the computer headed out fender and into engine bay and all were removed. i would post a pic but i cant figure out how....Ryan

i think they go to the aldl connector and vss that is on the back of the speedometer. possibly even the brake switch for the tc lock-up funtion.

vss=vehicle speed sensor. yours is like mine, the vss is on the back of the speedometer. it is made to it. a regular speedo cable plugs into the back of the housing.

the vss must have somthing to do with the lockup on the converter. i assume my cable drive to the speedo will still work without the tpi or computer.

do any grounds come back through these wires? i have read on hear that guages will work with the removal of the computer and tpi and have read that they wont from people too. i am wondering if in fact some of the guages go through these now un terminated wires for the use of the grounds. i read on hear somewhere that the pinouts to chassis include ground for aldl connector and park neutral switch pin m black/ white. this black and white wire does it need to be gounded? why does the ecm care about park and nuetral anyway? the starter circuit does not go through the ecm correct? it appear in my diagram that the park nuetral switch on the starter circuit is yellow power in and through the gear selector switch purple to the starter solenoid. so the two circuits do not meet?

i want to make sure my fuel guage will work and my car will start with the removal of the tpi harness my concern is the wires that were going to the computer from the drivers side of car that are now not terminated at all.....thanks ryan

Ryan, I know for certain 2 (pink/black, I think) of the three wires are the lines that power your injectors. 1 wire powers 4 of them and the other does the other 4. It goes to the fuse block under the name CRANK. I am doing a carb to TPI swap and have had to start wiring this into my block. As for the third one, your guess is as good as mine right now. I should be tackling that one in the next day or so, if you find out what the third goes to please let me know.

my trunk will not open now with this wires all open and not going anywhere. I assume it has to do with the park nuetral switch wires going to the ecm as you would not want power to the trunk switch while driving down the road as that could be bad if it was toggled to open. the trunk will open with the key under the plate.
