Trickflow or Edelbrock Heads
I'm running the thick(1266) 1206 felpro intake gaskets. I'm also running the Victor .025 head gaskets. I had to go to the thick gaskets because my intake would bottom on the block before it fully tightened on the heads w/ the thin head gaskets. You'll have to trim a litte on them for Toplines. The ports are tall and slender, unlike any felpro gasket I found. Topline actually reccomends thier own gaskets, but to late at the time. The felpro's worked good, and the extra width was equal to my Team G intake so...works out good. - I guess I should now refer to Toplines as RHS...

That’s not the point, I know how to test for a working EGR, I’m wondering how they test for it… I know that here in MD they used to have a visual inspection for it, and my brother used to take, through the egr valve on the manifold and then take it off once it was checked off, it just had to be there…
so couldn't you just drill a small hole in the egr passage allowing for outside air on the input side of the egr? then if the egr was pulled opened, vac leak and stall... then just unhook(and plug) the vac line when driving it.

Why go through with all that. If smogging is an issue, leave it on and make the best hp an e.t. with it.

introducing inneficiencies never results in the best hp. OTOH, it shouldn't really effect your ET at all (shouldn't be open at WOT) unless you don't give it time to cool down (running EGR does make the manifold hotter)
as for the heat, i now remember yet another reason we run methanol on the race car. Roll into the beams @ 200, blast, no fans, no pump, pull onto the return road w/ 1/4 inch of ice on the intake(should say used-to, f/c chassis altered)
