Are all of the MAF the same?

Are all of the MAF sensors the same? I have one from I think either a 90 Iroc with 350 or a 92 RS. It has a BP on the side of it. How can I tell what all years and motors it will work on? Thanks guys. I would hate to hook the wrong one up and possibly damage something or waste along time wondering why it wasnt running right.

Well, get the part unmber off of it and do a search here for it.

If that fails or its an aftermarket part, call a parts store and see if they can cross reference it.

85 MAf is specific.

86-89 is the same

90-92 v8's didnt use MAF and none of the TBI cars do

edit: for v8 cars only

later

3rdgenmaro that one looks like a V6 MAF, which most certainly would not be found on a 90 IROC but could very possibly be found on an RS

I was thinking that by the orientation of the connector, but the part number should identify it with some surety. If it is from a Buick, it'll be an FM MAF.

The main reason I have no idea is, I bought a wrecked 90 Iroc from a guy awhile back, he had stripped the motor and trans ans was putting it into a 92 RS. I just assumed that maybe it came from one of these. i will get the number this evening for you guys. thanks for all the help.

The number to the left of BH says 25007557. On the side with the connector the number 87217 12 is stamped into the plastic. the connector has three prongs. On the bottom of the connector ( opposite side of BH) it says AC Mass Airflow Sensor
That is all I can find. Thanks guys
