GTA supercharging

My friend has an 87 GTA and was wondering about the cost of supercharging.

Prices?
Recomended Setups?

Street or Strip? A good street setup would be a Pro-Charger with a 6-8 boost. The SC alone goes for around 3,900.

$3000 on the cheap end.

Go to the pro-charger web page and order the free catalog. Its definitly worth it.

86-87 used the weirdo v-belts + serpentine system for front end accessories. Nobody makes a bolt-on centrifugal kit for that front accessory system that I'm aware of. You need to either take it down to all v-belts (like 85-down) or up to a full serpentine system (87-up) and then choose a kit accordingly.

..Or look into a turbo setup for the same price.

The smart thing to do would be to ditch the tpi setup and go with a better intake, then get the SC. The tpi setup runs out of breath pretty quick.
