Stock 305 IROC

Ok guys I am kinda new to the sports car thing and well kinda new to the car thing also. I am 17 years old and dont really know what I am doing when it comes to setting up a motor. I want to know what parts I should start with to get a lot more preformace out of my stock 305 camaro. I do have a really tight budget but the I have a 305 block fresly rebuilt with 40 over pistons that I am going to put the parts on then when it comes time just swap the motors out in the car so I can buy stuff gradually. I just want to know what kinda stuff I should start with like here is what I was thinking.

Headers DONT know what kind to get
Holly stelth ram manifold, plenum, runners
Bigger injectors
Huge cam like .500/.500 lift
Cold air intake I cam make myself
Bigger throttle body like 58mm
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
75-100 shot of Nitrous
Heads BUT DONT KNOW WHAT KIND OR SIZE ect..

What kinda power will this set up get me?
Thanks a lot for the help guys

Are you Blazed

ok start with a good catback system, then get some good headers such as edelbrock or hooker, then get a better intake manifold and runners have them both ported. Then start to look into chips, Hypertech, Fast, TPIS, Super chips ect. Remember there are alot of free mods you can do yourself Gut the airboxes, throttle body by pass, filters, ect..... Any engine work such as heads, cam will be expensive......remember dont get anything too big or you will just create problems for yourself.

Ok sorry about that man here is what I have already done I put a 160 theristat in with a manual fan switch and also have cut the aibox and put two K&N filters in but I dont know what you mean by throttle body by pass so if you could explain on how to do that and what it does that would be appriciated.

Well I did it to my car and it seemed to make a noticeable difference. Its a better choice than going out and getting a bigger throttle body for a stock engine. No problems here.....

stock TB is capable of 780 cfm, plenty for even a highly modded 305. Also, If you get a Stealthram, you won't have runners... and...you think 500 lift is HUGE? ist thing is, do you have to pass any emissions testing? If so, then forget the HSR. - as for headers, I'd say go w/ the Hooker shorties and the Y-pipe. Seem to be about the best for the $. I wouldn't get to excited about bigger injectors until you have a lot more done. You other mods/ideas look good. You should really think about porting your heads. - back to the cam..for a street/strip 305 I'd say something 220ish @ .050 duration, 480ish lift.

Thinks for the replys. I am going to look into the bypass. As for emissions no I live in Indiana and we do not have to pass emissions here. I am thinking about moving to AZ and I am not sure about there so I will have to check into it. But I really want to get something going with the camaro here soon but dont really know what to do yet and it does not help being on a 17 year olds budget either.

I did the TB bypass a long time ago. I say that it isnt something you might notice but its something that might help later on.

By the way, the dyno sheet shown on gofastperformance.com is a 99' Camaro with a LS1, T56, 4.10 gears, Borla Exhaust, Whisper Lid, Hypertech Underdrive Pulley, ans MMS Mass Air Flow. The after results are from a Ported Throttle Body, EGR mod, and a TB bypass. dont be fooled. But, yes, do do it. Anything counts when you are dealing with a 3.7' bore.

Ya that was just to show the kid what it looks like, and it also gives a few dyno gains.
