im putting a TPI from a 86 350 motor on to my 92 305 that was a TBI. just wondering what kind of power gains im looking at. im new to the car scene, i used to race motocross but being inside a cage or car is more pleasing when you crash

There was never a 350 released in 86. The 350 didnt come out until 87. They did have a non production 86 350 Iroc but only 50 were made and I dont think they got out the door. Might want to look into it.

 

The 1986 Corvette had a 350 TPI- Firebirds and Camaros got them the next model year, 1987.

I'm also interested in tha number. If LO3 with TBI is 170 hp, how much hp will the LO3 be with TPI? Anyone?

 

i'm guessin 200hp and 285 lb feet of torque, same as non G92 305 Lb9s.... IF they have the same cam... which would have to be the absolutely tiny peanut cam.... 179/194 .350/.384

 

Yeah it will depend on what cam you have in it. It should make alot more low end torque.

 

It will give a decent amount of power. The heads are different than TPI which will hold it back and depending on the cam, that could also affect your hp/tq. It would be safe to say atleast 180 hp and 250 lb ft tq at the wheels.
