Heads, Cam and Roller rockers.
Fairly new to the whole v8 game. I'm looking to make my 305 have a better bang for the buck.
I have a ZZ4 Camshaft I want to install, what roller rockers should I hook up with it? Crane 1.5? I'm also wondering if this camshaft will be smog legal.
Next question: Will vortec heads bolt onto my car? If so, whats an average increase in horsepower? If not: what will be required to make them work?
With adding these to parts, should I grab a Holley AFPR? What about a Holley 52mm Throttle body?
Cars a 91 Z28 vert.
Thanks guys!

For roller rockers, Comp Cams magnum full rollers are great rocker arm.
Im not sure on the smog legality for that cam.
For the Vortec heads you'll need a Vortec TPI baseplate, SDPC makes it, Im sure other outfits make it too. The 350 heads will carry somewhere in the region of 61cc-64cc depending on what casting you get, so compression shouldnt be a huge issue with the 305.
A VAFPR is a good idea, and along with that, Id recommend a custom PROM for that cam and heads, or else it wont run right, especially since you are running MAP (speed density)

Will this Vortec TPI baseplate allow me to run my stock intake still or will I have to upgrade like Steve said on VFB Mike?
VAFPR, whats that? Heads and cam aren't going on til Steve has his chip burning stuff.

Both of those say they can use the stock runners. Siamesed runners are always better, but they will accept the stock runners.
VAFPR is just a vaccum referenced FPR. Vaccum referenced is better because it gives fuel pressure according to engine vaccum.
