man im disapointed haha
well after the cam, intake, and head work i took my car to the track. . . best time was 13.9 with a 2.3 60' foot and a 98 mph trap speed. . . thats the same i ran before the cam, intake and heads. I know the 60' foots are killing me, but is there anything else im missing?? do i need bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump, they are still stock with 107k on them? my compression is good, ive experimented with timing and fuel psi to no avail. i know getting a chip tuned over the internet isnt the best, but i had no choice for that. Is all my time lost in tuning and traction, or is there something else missing? i know these kinda posts are cliche around here but im just mad cuz i invested 1500 dollars in a top end rebuild to run worse then before. thanks guys

get it dyno'd or run some data loggin to see what the motor is doing. see what your air fuel ratios are
you should be WELL over 98mph traps with that cam and intake setup.
a tune for sure will help. i bet its all out of whack. its gonna need some dyno tuning to get the best results.
your trap should be around 105-107 i would think
your setup will probly like alot more fuel pressure with stock 22lb injectors (i'm assuming thats what u got)
i would look into some 24 lbs injectors and get ur chip setup for those. then lower the fuel pressure
also make sure your MAF sensor is good and your TPS voltage is reading right at WOT. i think its suppose to be near 5 volts at full throttle

well theres alot going on with this car. . . Right now my fuel pressure is at 50 psi, should i use more with the stock injectors? the tps sensor hits like 4.2 volts at full throttle but thats ok right? the mass air reads funny at idle sometimes, but it varies with the throttle properly. im gonna have to find someone in the area thats a tuned port genius, cuz there is no dyno in my area to tune the car. Im just gonna have to experiment with my tuning and i think ill replace the injectors and pump. Thanks guys
oh yea my 60' times last year were 2.1 so i didnt have traction then either.

I would not replace anything until you get those 60' times down. I'd set the TPS as it should be. I believe its 5.4v, but not sure, as I dont have to set mine on my car. Try setting the fuel pressure at 44 psi, after you get the car to hook. Increase it 1 psi at a time until you find the sweet spot. Also, what are your shift points?
Getting it to hook, should be your first priority. I agree with Orr, the MPH should be better.

The TPS bs that goes around is kind of funny. On the track, all you need to know is "was it enough to trigger Power Enrichment (at full throttle)." That full throttle Power Enrichment detection happens at about 70% throttle on most TPIs (~3.5V). Power Enrichment makes the A/F richer <12:1 on a stock calibration (which is why it's quite rediculous to run larger injectors, and higher fuel pressure on a stock chip in a MAF car), and increases the spark advance a few degrees. Above that, the ECU doesn't care, and makes no additional steady state adjustments to spark or fuel if it's open a little more or a lot more (based on throttle position reading only).
Get a wideband on that engine ASAP. Set the Base timing correctly. Learn to launch. See improvements.

ouch! Dans87GTA was running 13.70's on stock heads and stock tune(HSR now).
- Somethings amuck. I'd bet on the tune. 50 psi is a bit high for fuel. As long as you're seeing around .54vdc idle, and over 4vdc @ WOT on the TPS you're fine. Past that, traction time. Most stock suspension cars I've owned/been around could cut 1.9X 60's on decent street tires, so 2.3X's are killing you.

yeah i agree on the launch, the car has subframe connectors and zr tires, but with the converter and cam i would gain alot with some drag radials and a nice 2000 launch. i can launch a car, but this car either spins bad or i have to take off slow to get the car to not spin so bad, either way my 60 foots suck (i was pulling 1.75 60's with my 383 monte ss). I really think this chip that was made for me sucks, ive switched the chip back to my hypercrap and the car ran the same!!! I need to get my idle down pat, timing, fuel psi, a good tune chip, a set of drag radials, check my valves (they click, but i was told that the stock roller lifters will make noise with a high lift cam), and i worry about stuff like the knock sensor. i also have the lockup unpluged, because with the new chip my converter locks in third at like 25 and chugs the car like hell, is that gonna screw with my tranny?? and lastly, when i get this stuff straightened out, should i up the injectors and fuel pump, or are they ok for my power level. im sorry to ask so many questions, but since the cam and head work my car has been very difficult to figure out. i have no problems with my regal, good old carb on that thing, but tpi has got my head spinning haha
thanks guys for all the help

Have you considered getting into prom burning? Two years ago, I thought I never would have. But like you said in your post, "getting a chip tuned over the net is not best". Unless maybe you know someone that can tune your car, and have all the equipment to properly do it. MAF usually responds better to the mods, but tuning will help. I'll bet that your car is too rich, and not enough spark advance. Getting that 60' down is where I would start. BTW, that last part of your sig is funny.
