Just wondering its a bit buggy, but runs perfect in closed loop id prefer to run it like this until i can repair it

Or is it bad for the motor?

You converted your 87 MAF car to speed density?

give more details.

What u did and why u did it and the exact setup would help instead of endless guessing.

No no, its an original MAF car, What i mean is lol

When certain sensors are unplugged the computer will go into closed or open loop?
Reading of stored engine data, and the 02 sensor
Like i said, For example if i unplug the maf sensor, It runs a ton better, With the maf sensor plugged in i have problems and since at the moment i dont have any tools ( in my shop (tech school) i would like to run it in this mode until i can diagnose it myself or send it to the garage

If the car does not run with the MAF plugged in, then what do you think is the problem? Get a new MAF.

The car should run like crap since it cant monitor the incoming air and temps. atleast in my experiance they have.

Its alot more then just the maf, Its alot of things that at the moment i dont feel like dealing with until i have the time ( maybe in a month) to fix, Without the maf plugged in, instant throttle responce, but a bit of a wierd idle, thats it

With it plugged in crap throttle responce, seems to run out of wack, Like i said dont have the time atm to do anything about it so i was wondering if it was safe to run it without it plugged in

But for those who wanna give my problem a shot keep in mind i dont have any tools with me atm

Small vacuum leak in a egr line,no vss, was swapped from a 700r4 to a t-5, new tps, until operating temp, Give it gas boggs down then pops in the intake till it hits that rpm ( keep in mind only with it depressed for a bit, if i give it a quick goose its fine) also ohmed the injectors before i Moved my tools, all 16.0 or 15.8 15.7 etc, Also.. one of the fuel lines broke the other day, ( not driving atm but getting it all registered soon) this fuel line was the fuel feed line from the tank, Im trying to find an oem fitting line only place i see one online is fbodymotorsports. and well i heard they suck so Im thinking of just sending it of for a full checkup at the garage anyhow

The car will run rich without the maf plugged in since the ecm has no clue what is really happening so it adds fuel to be safe...it is okay to run it forawhile with the maf unplugged but I wouldn't do it any longer than you have too...replace the maf first, then reset your ecm, then tackle your other problems...if the idle is having problems look for any vaccum leaks, and check the IAC...these two things usaully are the culprit behind most idle problems.
