got a 91 350 TPI
ok after blowing my 305 the other day...I have gotten my hands on a 91 350 TPI........with low miles....I want to get the most power I can out of it......I know about all the free mods and such....but that was on my 305
What can I do to the 350? Im going to keep the stock heads on them as I dont have the money for aftermarket...So im going to put what comes off my 305 onto the 350....along with a set of SLP runners that Ive had...but like I said I want the most power I can..so what do I do? port the stock heads and of course I bigger cam...
what kind of HP/TQ power can I get out of this 350?

John! What happened???
Well, the L98 is the way to go. Well I guess that's a matter of opinion, but anyway......
.....the heads may be the biggest problem. I still have my stockers, but right now, I'd rather row through a 6 speed than have more HP, so heads aren't in my future... ...my ZZ4 cam is ideal for the stock heads IMHO. Too much more cam is lost through the heads. You still have those tri y headers right? Yep, you've got exhaust covered. I'd look into an HSR and sell me those SLPs! Maybe save up for heads.

at the very least have the heads and the intake gasket matched for better flow. do the upper plenium mods and try to take the restrictions out of the intake with a carbite bit on a drummel.
any way you can get more air to the motor is a good thing not matter what else you do.
get a afpr and set the fuel a little higher.
update your coil and module and you should be able to put a nice roller in the car and get a nice torque curve.

Get the heads ported. Learn how to tune . It's a must . Especially with the SD instead of MAF ( much less forgiveing to changes in cams) . I like a ZZ4 cam , but there are better choices for you . The heads resond to porting pretty well , others on TGO have had great success with them .
You can get up around 270 to the wheels maybe more. My setup untunned got me 251/318 to the wheels . With the heads untouched I am expecting around 265 with it tunned.
