Lt1 heads & intake

can you use an Lt1 heads & intake on a L98 block?? I ask because I got this stuff for free, besides the Lt1 flows better than a TPI. If this will work, what if any problems would I have?
thanks for any info

joe

I am wondering if you can use LS1 Heads and cam on the L98... any ideas?

you can use lt1 parts on an older block but you can't just bolt them on. If you do a search I'm pretty sure there is a thread on modifiying the heads to work. As for ls1 parts I don't see those heads or cam swapping over. I'm pretty sure the only thing the ls1 shares with gen1 or 2 engines is the bore centers.

the sticky above gave me the idea, there is also a guy on the board that has mod'ed an Lt1 intake to fit older heads, did a search to find it again, but no luck, or I would put a link to it.

I was needing to know about the coolent, no thermostat in the intake, how would someone get around that?

joe

Remote thermostat, there's a howto somewhere online.
