Hi all,

I just got another GTA (87350tpiauto). The car doesn't currently start. (i intend to get it running with the spare parts of my 89 gta). I wanted to get any codes that might be stored. I tried both a paper clip methode and official code reader (no display, just jumps the connector).

In the "On" position, the light blinks once. Then stays on. Never showing any codes.

Any ideas?

 

If it doesnt start you need to start with the basics. Check for fuel pressure and spark.Many things that cause a no start will not set a code.

 

Oh, right, about the motor, I know the previous owner. Its just a dead starter. Im just trying to check the ecu to see if it has any codes (or responsiveness??)

Wheels/tires
and a complete tuneup
If time permits 1le fronts

I have ALL the parts in my possesion already. I just have to start bolting.

I just want to know if the computer will also need to be replaced (one part i dont have a spare of).
