Engine light but no error codes
First off, great site, hope to be here alot more if I buy this Vette.
Anyway, I have some concerns with the Vette Im looking at buying. Its an 85 (L98, auto).
It seems to run great at idle, and under very light load. But if you try to give it anything even remotly hard, it bogs, spudders, backfires, ect. No power, its like driving a 6 cyl lumina.
He said it passed emissions last month (showed me paper) then 2 days later the engine light came on and it started to run like crap. He said that he couldnt pull any codes either.
It had a full tune up, filters, fluid changes, new fuel pump, and a couople other things to try to fix the problem.
He "thinks" it the computer taken a dump just because you couldnt pull a code from it.
Any help or suggestions would be great. I reall want this car but I would like to get a good idea what might be wrong with it.
Need your suggestions ASAP. Im looking at buying it before he sells it (if its an "easy" fix.
