stupid question

what intake is this? every tpi intake i've seen has the runners on the side so i'm kinda confused on this one. also if anyone knows will this one be better or worse then a tpi. as you can tell i don't know much about chevys i've been a die hard mopar fan forever and just decieded to make the change so now i'm building an 82 camaro and just starting to gather parts

LT1 intake. It will need modified if you are going to be putting it on a Gen 1 block.

thanks for the quick response. what all needs to be modded? is it just running the proper heads for it? i'm thinking to build a 383 for my car so finding different heads is no big deal.also i noticed theres no water neck in this intake so will i just be running a different water pump that has a t stat housing? again i'm in a whole new ballpark here.

There are details of what parts are required and what modifications you have to do to the intake.

John Millican, who does the conversions, posts on this board quite a lot.
