Need some wiring help with TPI swap!

I am installing TPI on my 1986 Monte Carlo SS. I am using the Painless Performance Harness #60102. This is the 86 to 89 MAF system with 9th injector.

questions

1. The MAT (manifold air temp. sensor) located under the upper intake plenum has the plug cut off of it by the previous moron that tried to hook this system up. The wires are TAN, and Black. Which wire goes to which side of the connector as shown in the photo below?

I may be wrong, but I think that since the sensor is just a variable rate resistor that it shouldnt matter which way you hook it up. You can check TPIParts.net and Ebay to see if you can find the connector and where the wires are placed based on the position of the tab on the connector.

...it doesn't matter...just resistance. - While you're there, pull the sensor, plug the whole and put the sensor in you air intake duct. Just another one of the TPI "free mods".
