How did you bypass the VATS system?? Just because you have the starter turning now doesn't mean that VATS is disabled. Without the proper square wave signal to the ECM from the VATS module, the ECM will not pulse the injectors, and the motor will not fire. You need to burn a new PROM with VATS disabled.. Or, repair the VATS system, since it obviously works pretty well..

well i just got it to turn over. i was told to measure the the resistance on the key, and then to get a resistor and connect it to the to white cables wrapped on orange. i did this and now the security light goes off. before the car wouldnt even turn over and now it does. however it wouldnt start just crank . i sprayed some starter fluid in it and it started, but then it turned of. how can i check for the injectors to be pulsing?

Take a long sockewt extension . Touch one end to the injector , and the other end to your ear ( the boney flap on the outside). Should notice a constant ticking .

I had the same problem with mine. It would turn on with starter fluid only. Later found that there was a cable disconnected from my battery that went to the computer. Took me two days to figure it out.
