350 Swap - Injector Question

OK guys, done some research and still not quite sure what the best route is.

I am swapping in a 350 to replace my tired 305. Its pretty mild, .030 over, flat top pistons, ZZ4 Cam, Ported/Polished 083 Heads. Sticking with the Stock Manifold and Runners for now.

I picked up a set of used L98 Injectors, but the more I got thinking about it, I was thinking maybe I would be better off going with Ford Motorsports Injectors (As they seem to be the injectors of choice).

Would I benefit from going with the FMS Injectors? And if so, do I want the 19# or 24# Injectors?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be running L98 stock 22lbs in my 305 build. With what you're doing, you could just as easily use the same. I also have a set of '95 LT1 injectors but I still don't know what I'm going to use...

But like I said, stock L98s should work fine.

You can get them flow tested. Don't know how much it will cost as it depends on the place you go.

For what its worth, I just bought a car to restore that with an L98 with 200k on her. I replaced the factory injectors with Ford injectors. It was cheaper for me to buy a new set of Fords that it was to have the original L98, cleaned and matched.

As for size, 24 is the high end of what is driveable on the stock tune. 19 are too low. What you need is a 22.5 pound injector. They were stock equipment in the 2002-2004? mustang? There is a place called five-o motorsports on the web. They also sell a lot on ebay. That is where I got mine. I complete set with shipping was under 300.

If you are thinking of getting yours cleaned and matched....do a search on here for that. I forget the guys name, but he specializes in that. He wouldn't touch my injectors though becuase there were not the bosch type, they were the distec type? what year injectors do you have?

Then you probably have the POS garbage Multec ones that Rich at Cruzin' performance won't touch. You'd be better off getting 'ford' ones or the 'ford' 24 lb. ones and getting a chip burned.

Did that answer everything?

I was already planning on getting a custom chip after I got everything together and running and broke in. I do plan to go with a High Flo Base and Runners at some point in the near future, should I just go with the 24lb ford injectors now? Will it cause me any strife in the meantime?
