I blew my motor and I am going to hopefully be rebuilding the motor within the next 4-6 weeks. I'm having a place do the work, but I will supply them with the parts. They quoted me $2100 and they do good work. Reason I'm not doing it is because I just got done doing the head gaskets all by myself spanned over 5 weeks using all of my free time, money, and sanity. Then found out the piston rings are shot. So I'll let them mess with it.

Anyway, I will keep the TPI stock. I don't care about skyrocketing the HP level. We all know that TPI is a torque producer. So I'm sure the heads and cam will help a little on the top end, but I don't care about that.

What is the ultimate out of the box head and cam package?

What injector size should I get?

What torque converter should I look for? 2200-2500 or in the 3k range?

I want a beast of a daily driver so I can focus all of my attention on the rest of the car.

 

Just a few quik comments: Based on you keeping the TPI stock, I would buy an alum head with about 180cc intake ports and a cam with a bit more degrees than TPISs ZZ9 cam, like maybe 216/220.. Your old 22 #/hr injectors should be find if you install a Holley AFPR. Otherwise, the Ford Racing 24#/hr injectors are the best ones for your application.
