Couple of problems here..
Ever since the car as been on the road, its always had a like..jerking motion once it went into overdrive. After taking a friend for a drive we have determined that it's got to be some sort of miss at low rpm under light load. Ive noticed lately that the car is developing a starting problem as well. Nothing serious but sometimes it takes alittle cranking to get her running and she kinda stumbles to life, other times she will fire right up. I noticed today as well that the miss wasnt so much present until the car was around 190 degrees. Im guessing my ignition control module is dying on me. I ran around for awhile with no dielectric grease on the bottom of it and the motor had an overheating problem on top of that for awhile. I addressed both problems but i have a feeling its pretty much put the module on death row. I'm guessing as soon as it gets warm it starts to F up....sound plausible? I also noticed today after patching a nasty little vac leak that the car, everytime i slow down to a stop, acts like it wants to die. I tried resetting the minimum air today and noticed i couldnt hear the idle air valve opening or closing. Could that cause the wanting to die as i come to a stop and the hard(er) starts? Or am I looking at a combination of both sensors causing my problems?

well when i use to jump the diagnosic port...you could hear the valve "whining". I replaced it today along with the ignition control module...no change. However i did notice that the new iac doenst make a sound either...I unplugged it as well and started the motor and noticed there was no change in the idle speed..?
If the idle RPM is the same with the IAC connected or not, either the IAC drivers in the ECM are dead or the throttle plates are opened too far the the ECM cannot control idle.
Run the whole procedure for minimum idle air adjustment, and see what happens.
