Bolt on LB9 Progress

Well it started out as a simple '87 LB9/Auto GTA. I drove it for one summer and knew it wouldn't come up to par with me wanting to get some power to the ground. So I got some parts off my buddy whos building an HSR 355 for his IROC and wouldn't be needing his TPI stuff. His motor was an L98 but the previous owner before him put ported 081 heads matched with a ported intake base. So I got those along with his fuel rail, injectors, air foil and an afpr. I had a few parts already for my motor such as an LT1 cam, 1.6 rockers, 981 springs, CAI, ignition parts etc. Heres my progress so far with working on it this past weekend. The rain really killed it last week so I had no choice.

I have a bit to go yet, but if the weather keeps up, I should be golden.

go with an aftermarket cam, i wouldnt go through the trouble to put a factory cam back in. but it sounds like its coming along pretty nice. how did he like the 081's on his 350?

edit: oops sorry i was searching and came across this i didnt look at the date... i guess you ditched the tpi though anyway...

It's all good dude. The Camaro should surpass any intentions I had with the GTA anyway
