Im getting a l98 for $500 it comes complete with a 700r4, I have headers and a catback, What are some cheap mods I can do? i have a (little) cam sitting in the garage, what is the stock lift? How do stock internals handle nitrous? the motor has about 50k on it. the biggest shot my nitrous is a 100 shot. is their any way I can hook it up to my 84 700r4? what do L98 cars do in the 1/4 near stock? Whats the avg gas milage? and finally what will I have to have done for the install? (ie sopourting mods)

stock enignes i think can take 150 wet kits for quite awhile. so i think 100 would work great. make sure u get enough fuel to it and down the timing some.

stock L98 cars can range from high 14s to low 14s depending on year and such.

stockish L98's can get about 18 - 22 mpg.

best mods for the engine would be stall conveter and trans cooler, since u have headers and catback already.
cheaper mods would be air intake system and underdrive pulley system.

a 700r4 from 84 would bolt up i believe, but i would use the one that it comes with.

i wouldnt use that 84 700r4 on you 350 because 84's had problems and arent as good as the 700r4 that comes with your engine. For cheap bolt ons you could get roller rockers, underdrive pulleys, afpr, free mods (advanced timing, gut air boxes if u have that kind of intake if not get one, tb coolant bypass, also you can buy a hi performance cap & rotor, coil, ignition wires, low temp thermostat and lower temp fan switch to start you off cost you somewere from 400 to 500 dollers.
