What are these lines??

I picked up an '89 350 TPI Formula gas tank for a hotrod I'm building. I'd like to use the tank since the engine I'm using is a TPI. However, I didn't remove the tank and so I don't know where the FOUR lines that come off it go to. Could somebody straighten me out as to what lines do what?
Thanks

one is the fuel tank vent, one is the supply line, one is the return line, and one is the vent to the charcoal canister.

Do I need a line to a charcoal canister? And where does the fuel tank vent line go to? All I have is about 12" of lines after the edge of the tank.
Thanks

the charcoal canister is for emmisions and saftey purposes. The motor actually pulls vacuum on the charcoal canister i believe. The vent also goes to a small charcoal container that is mounted close to the tank. Both are to prevent the tank from bursting under pressure. The small charcoal container is all that is necessary for saftey i believe. The vacuum assisted canister is necessary for emmisions.

Are the small containers still available from Chevy?

the small one you refer to is just a diaphram type check valve. i don't know if the dealer still carries them or not. you can use just the small one but it will not keep the pressure off the tank. it takes some pressure to relieve it where as the charcoal canister is the primary vent that requires very little pressure.
