help with code 33

alright i have a 350 with TPI, cam, exhaust, ignition, HSR, 180 thermo, free mods. well it has been down now for about a month mostly because i have been out of town but i need to get it running well and today i went to go and work on it and still had to lash the vavles, so i did. after that it would idle pretty good but if i gave it any gas it would almost die and if i let off it would idle fine again. it kinda sounded like it was backfiring if i listened to the throttle body. it had a code then and i pulled it, it was 33 high voltage/ low vaccum at the MAF/ or MAP in my case. i checked the vaccum line and it was not blocked or anything. anyone had this problem, or could help me out at all. any help would be appriciated. Thanks

Connect a vacuum gauge to read manifold vacuum durign idle. Check the MAP voltage and compare to the chart:

yea it runs ok now except for it was a little hard to start and i solved that by lowering the advance to about 8 degrees. it was at like 15-18 initial i don't know how it was that far but i moved it back down and tightened the bolt down real tight. i am still getting it not idleing very well. it also smells kinda like the exhaust is a little rich too. it smokes sometimes a kinda black smoke and it smells a lot like gas. not quite sure what is wrong, i wouldn't really think it would run rich seeing that they are stock injectors on a HSR with a cam, full ignition, 50 PSI fuel pressure, and full exhaust, but maybe something in the computer is screwed up. i know that i really need a tune but i haven't been able to get into ed wright yet so for now it is just the stock tune. any ideas would be nice, if i could fix it would be nice.
