need some info about my ecm
i'm very new to the tpi world so i'm just trying to get a handle on what exactly i have so i can figure out what info is applicable to me. i looked on my ecm and there are 2 number2 on the paper label. one says "service number 01222165" the other is 12271s5310. does one of those represent the "style" of ecm i have? i believe the motor is from an 86 camaro. it's a 305. neither of these numbers had any results when searching.
also, is setting the minimum air and the tps something i need to do? i read that tech article, but i don't know what the ALDL is. like i said i'm still in the early stages of the learning curve.
thanks for any info that anybody can offer.

Its a 165 ecm.
The other number is prolly a service number from the dealer or aftermarket piece that was replaced.
The ALDL is somewhere near your feet. Its a little black connector with 12 pins in it.
Should be towards the driver door on the underscuttle above where your feet go on the drivers side, Might have to pull off the fuse box cover to access it.
Or its on the dash with a blanking panel over it for access. I forget where it is on what years,
later
