Bigmouth base

Just rebilding engine with comp 270 cam ported vette heads 11:1 CR etc....
Will an aftermarket base make much difference? The sootout seens to suggest the big mouth is the best.... I already have runners. Any opinions?

Base should help you breathe a lot easier, and a little higher in the RPM band. I want to port my stock one and see how it does. Might eventually go with a larger base myself. What runners are you using?

Buy and edelbrock base and port it.

Will save u money over the bigmouth and thats all it is anyways.

I have eldelbrock runners ive semi ported the original but thought the bigger one might better suit the heads. is there really much price difference?
