Where should I begin with my Z

Where should I start with my Z28. I am new to the TPI stuff so I need some help. My car is a 91 Z28 with a 350 auto. It already has K&N filters, flowmasters and maybe 3:73s. I would really like to wake this car up without a blower or nitrous. I want to build a good street/strip car. Any suggestions?

that is a controversial subject...since it's an auto, a stall would be an awesome thing to have. 3.27's are about the steepest a TPI car needs...TPI runs out of breathe after 5,300-ish. Another thing to get is a HSR (holley stealth ram). amazing mod for your TPI car. Comp Cams and Crane Cams make some nice products for our cars also.

Why tell him to get TPI gears then tell him to get an HSR? lol...

Exhaust and Intake parts are the first place to start. Wake the car up alot.

i should had worded it better...he is asking what's the first thing to do, either an HSR OR a stall...if you get the HSR then get new gears and then a stall...if not, then get the stall and dont worry about gears

best bang for the buck would be a throttle body bypass - couple of $ for a hose, and porting the plenum right behind the throttle body - probably free. there are good tutorials. Iv done that and now Im onto exhaust, i put in hooker 2055 headers and y-pipe and i will be putting on a cat and cat-back soon.

if u really plan to get into it, any prom tuner will tell u to learn to burn your own chips, that way, any mod you buy can have the proper tuning to adapt to it so that you will get the most out of them. something like swapping the TPI for a HSR would definitly benefit from a new prom.
