breather on a 89 350 tpi
for some reason i have two pcv valves on from the intake and one from the throttle body i kno the one in the throttle body isnt suppose to be there but can i just cap the hole in the throttle body and run a breather? If so what size fits?
There should not be two PCV valves in the system. There should be one PCV valve on the left rocker cover and connected to the intake base, and one PCV vent tube connected between the right rocker cover and TB. The PCV valve removes gasses and vapors from the crankcase, and the vent supplies fresh air to the crankcase.
Using a breather will affect the amount of air meing measured by the MAF, and will cause your system to tend to go lean. It will likely set an error code as well. The vent tube is connected to the TB since all the air present there has been measured by the MAF.
