studdering at low rpm's

recently, on my 355 TPI motor, at low rpm's, i can hear and feel the engine studdering every couple of seconds. once i raise the idlle, the studder goes away...... what should i look for to find the problem? kind of seems like the engine is misfiring at low rpm's maybe.

i've checked the plugs, the wires, etc.... i was thinking more along the lines of a fuel problem, but my fuel pressure is perfect 100% of the time, in the 40's

I had this problem, it was more apparent when the engine was hot, turned out to be the coil/dizzy module.

is it while moving? Could be the transmission....converter shutter. Mine does it alittle bit. Check the lock up plug..mine came loose and had a half *** connection...reconnected it and it helped alot but i know my plug and pigtail are both busted anyway so i know that thats my problem.

Are your rpm's dropping up and down when it stutters or does it just seem like its missing?

rpm's arent really doing anything, but i also wanted to know.. b/c this could even be related, my RPM tach has become VERY sperratic..... where does it get the signal from??? is it from the tranny? if so, maybe there is something wrong that is causing both the tach to become sperratic along with the waay the car is running??
