Problem with a gear drive?

I rebuilt a 350 and during the rebuild a Cloyes Gear Drive was put in. This is it:
JEGS High Performance - Cloyes True Roller Timing Chain
Number: 220-8-5100

I was wondering, before i fired the engine and found the problem, if the knock sensor would sense the vibrations given from the gear drive and try to retard the timing? Seeing how this is the function of the knock sensor i was not sure if the gear drive would give off enough vibrations to trigger the knock sensor to retard the timing? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

I use a gear drive in a 86 IROC with a knock sensor with no problems.

I used the P.Jackson ''quiet'' gear drive, used a knock sensor for a 89 Vett. I put teflon tape on the knock sensor, put it in the block, and have had no problems, car has been running for two years with no problems.

Also do a search on gear drives, a-lot of info at THIRDGEN.

Alright, Thanks. Ya i didn't get the loudest gear drive, but its also not the quiet one. It's a medium. Well its about ready to fire, btw its not in a third gen, i have a 72 chevelle that its currently in

I will look into searching more. Thanks!

Anyone else that has input, would be greatly appreciated!
