got a problem here..
So for the past couple of months...not in any specific conditions..the car wont even turn over when i put the key in. I have a feeling its the vats system and that my lock cylinder is bad. And of coarse i was in the staging lanes at the track and it didnt start! (that sucked lol)..that was my biggest fear too. It's wierd, it can go a month without doing it, then do it once etc. I believe its the vats b/c at the track, i believe it took 5 minutes and then she fired up like nothing was wrong. I also realize every now and then, ill sitck the key in and the lock clyinder wont turn...wiggle the key a bit, and it turns fine. I tried two different keys..same results. Now if i order a new lock clyinder from my work (ac delco one) with a new key and put it in...will the car not work?.since its not the right key i guess?..or since i am changing the lock clyinder will everything be fine? Im just worried about the vats and the fact that i am putting in a differnt lock/key combo...i am afraid the car won't recognize it and won't fire. I really should have gotten this crap disabled on the prom..
