Wrong forum, there's an engine swap forum that would have covered this.

At any rate you don't HAVE to change anything. A mild 355 will start up and run fine with the 305 chip, 305 knock sensor, and 19lb injectors. However, if you want the best performance from it you'll want to upgrade the chip, injectors, and knock sensor. Virtually everything else between the two is the same.

You have to switch the esc module for a 350 also.

Here's most of what you'll need to change. I know, I had to do it. The knock sensor definately has to be changed. It, thru the ECM, advances and retards the cars timing. The timing will not be correct if you have a 305 knock sensor in a 350. The ECM does not have to be changed !!!, the PROM does. It is programed with all the variables for the 305 that was orgininally in the car. The injectors have to be changed 305s' have 19# injectors and the 350 has 22# injectors. With the 305 injectors in the 350 combined with the 305 knock sensor you run a risk of damaging your new motor! The ESC module will also have to be changed. You can do like the last person suggested and run everything all fu*#ed up or you can fix it right the first time and forget about it. If you have any questions go to "TPIparts.com" they have a link that tells you what you need to do and why.
