Trickflow heads sensor hole size.

Hey guys. I have the TFS-30400006 Trick Flow Kenny Duttweiler Signature Series 23 Degree Aluminum Cylinder Heads. The sensor holes on these heads are bigger than ones on the stock L98 heads. So what do i do? The sensors i have won't fit in the my new heads. Does anyone make bigger sensors?

Thanks,
John

For my vette I was able to use my stock 73 vette sensor but not sure if it would be compatible with the 3rd gen gauge

Use a pipe bushing.

did your 73 vette have both a temp sensor for the guage and a fan switch?

3/8" female(the inside threads) to 1/2" male(the outside threads). The threads are tapered, so the fit gets tighter as you thread the bushing into the head and the sensor into the bushing.

The bushing on the right in the pic(below) is from Lowes(Home Depot's is exactly the same). But its taper gets too narrow because the bushing is deep, so a higher-temp switch(thicker than a lower-temp switch) won't fit through it.

The bushing on the left is from Hypertech, and it comes with their 180* switch for trucks. It's different, not as deep, so there's less taper, and the thicker switch fits through it like it should. No extra cost for the bushing either.
