gas mileage

I am wanting a gen 3 and wondering what kind of mileage they get? I know there are many differences to factor in but just want an idea for a stock 305, 5 speed. Throw your gear ratio in if you respond, thanks.

I only can help you with high speed gas mileage. I was impressed that I got about 20 mpg-stock everything 305tbi at about 90 mph. One day I had to cross the state. The 5 speed overdrive no doubt had a lot to do with that. It is the only time I have ever checked it. I assume I am gettting, around town about 15. The car is my wife's daily driver. I drive it on the weekend. Good luck.

I am the third owner of the car. I personally did not hollow out the cat, but maybe it was by previous owners. It looked untampered with when I removed it completely a month ago when I installed my Hookers. I know the muffler was toast when it was removed. Shaking it, it sounded like a big tird was loose inside it. What does everyone else get at those speeds with a 5 speed? I'm a newb.

I'm getting about 15 mpg with combined city and highway driving in my Formula 350 with a removed cat, and Flowmaster exhaust being the only mods. Drivetrain is listed on the left.

18-20 taking it easy around town.

23-25 on highway.

350 TPI, almost pure stock.
