"TPS" brand throttle body?
"TPS" brand throttle body?
I have a 91 formula with an aftermarket throttle body and what appear to be larger runners. I can't find anything out about the parts though. Has anyone heard of TPS brand throttle bodies? There's a picture of an injector spraying in between the P and the S on the logo.

. They've been around for a long time and are one of the old school players in the third gen market and certainly up there with the most elite of of performace parts companies making stuff for our cars.If you do have the larger TPIS runners, you're pretty lucky guy as those run like, $475 US.
Here's a link to their website but it's been down for two days now so you'll have to wait until it's back up.
Check and see if your intake base is TPIS aswell. That's an expensive piece aswell. Come to think of it, everything TPIS sells is expensive

Hope that helps.
TPiS
Thats it, outstanding answer and thanks for the help!
I hate trying to tune stuff when I don't know what parts I'm dealing with.
The runners have seen better days, there's a couple of hammer dings in them. I have no idea if the base is TPiS as well. Any idea where the casting or ID's are on the base?

As far as the base is concered, it should say TPIS right on it. They've got pic's on their site, but like I said, TPIS's site has been down for a few days now, so until they're back up, you'll just have to wait. Right off the top of my head, I can't remember the casting numbers but I'll look into it. I know I have them around here somehere..
Here's a picture of both Edelbrock's and Acell's intake base (rumour has it Edelbrock now supply TPIS with their base aswell and they just hog it out a bit and raise the price accordingly)
but anyways, the older TPIS units said "TPIS" right on them in the same spot you see "Edelbrock" and "Acell" written on their intake. It's should be in plain view.
I plan on buying a TPIS intake base myself next month. Hopefully their site will finally be back up...
..
EDIT:
Here's an article on TPI systems. If you scroll down, you can see a picture of TPIS's "big mouth" base plate and it says "TPIS" right on it like I said. If that's what you have, keep it, as it's the best base you can buy.

The TPIS intake says "big mouth" where the edelbrock unit says "hi flo". They are all made by edelbrock and have the same casting #. 3860 or 3680 or something like that. Its cast on the bottom of the intake at the front china wall rail.
Obviously the easiest way to tell if you have an aftermarket base would be the lack of a "GM" with the casting# next to it. Also, all gm intakes have the firing order cast into them whereas most aftermarket ones don't.
