I got an 89 Iroc Z with the 305 tpi, my problem is that I put the car in gear and when u step on the gas, it doesnt go anywhere until about half throttle, car has new pump, injectors, afpr, slp runners, wires, plugs, headers and 3 inch cat back with no cat. idles rough and stalls when i stop, but starts right up again. any help is appreciated. thanks

 

Is the "Check Engine" light on while the engine is running?

 

The check engine light is Not on, what would cause it to do that?? fuel pressure is a constant 42 at idle. Any Ideas???

 

Does the TPS voltage move linearly with the throttle opening?

 

Sorry to jack the thread but I have the same issue my tps reads 4.9v and drops as I open the throttle. There are 3 wires. I am reading the voltage from the bottom wire. the car has no power untill I hit over 55mph.

 

Hi, I think I have the same problem. I just got my engine rebuilt. I started it today, everything vent good, car started, i adjusted timing. Now if I press down the gas nothing happens it stays running around 900 rpm's. Not sure whats going on.
