SDPC TPI Vortec Intake

Does anyone know if the Scoggin Dickey TPI Vortec Intake has a cold start injector provision? I can't seem to confirm if it does have one.

Thanks

Doesnt matter.

Convert to the 89 code which is better in every way to begin with and cheap to do.

Plus you eliminate complexity and other issues to break down the rode.

Besides, isnt the cold start injector in the runners and not the base?

Yes it does:
"SDPC’s long awaited TPI Vortec Baseplate is now available for purchase. Our new Baseplate allows the use of Vortec style heads on 85-92 Chevrolet/Pontiac cars that were originally equipped with Tuned Port Injection. Aftermarket and factory runners will bolt directly to the TPI Vortec Baseplate with no modifications."

Converting to '89 is no problem at a later date.

It's $200 to $400 to burn a chip for the 89 conversion. Since you have to find a memcal for 100 bucks then pay to have the damn VATS removed from the 89 profile so it will run. Extra money I do not want to spend since I have never had a problem with the cold start injector setup.

Some aftermarket TPI intakes do not have the hole in them for the cold start injector to spray into. The SDPC add does not state if the provision is in the intake. I was hoping someone with the actual intake can verify it is truly there. Usually, what they will say is no modication to the actual intake but you will have to burn a custom chip instead.

Well get snippy about it !

For less than $200 u can burn your own chips.

If you bothered to investigate the entire 120+ of us in your backyard, you coulda got it done for about $35-40 for the cost of the parts involved.

The cold start injector is located in the runners and not intake. If you dont want to use the injector just remove it in the prom. I did so but i didnt remove the injector.
