cam for 355 tpi

Is a 260H cam good for my tpi setup. It will be a daily driver so I want to be able to get somewhere around at least 20 mpg. I also want some mild performance as well. My engine is a 355, flat top pistons, stock rods and crank, 260h comp cam, vortec heads bowl blended, tpi, roller rockers, serpentine belt system. Could someone also tell me about how much hp/tq I'm looking at having. I was hoping I could pull about 300 hp and maybe 350 tq.

It's a great cam for your engine setup and gears. SPDC got around 300 HP at the flywheel with the stock cam using the Vortec heads, stock runners, and their baseplate. You should 15-20 HP or more with the better cam.

Is the Comp cam you're looking at flat tappet or hydraulic roller? If this is your original engine it should have come with the hydraulic roller from the factory.

This car came with the lg4. I built this engine from scratch. It came from a 94 z71, so it's a truck engine, therefore flat tappet. I actually bought the car without an engine back in may. Although it did come with the transmission. The trans is a 700r4 and to make things even better, the guy who I bought it from just had the trans rebuilt last july! And to think I only paid $200 for the car.

I thought a 1994 truck engine would be a roller block ?

I would go with a cam with around a 218 intake and 224-230 exhaust. I run the LT-4 hot cam with almost the exact same set up. I have aluminum TFS heads that are ported and have 3.45 gears. I get 22.7 mpg mixed and 25.7 highway. I do my own tuning though.
