Too much cam?

Looking at a 383 crate. Comes with a .487/.508 lift non-roller with 234/244 duration @.050. Am I a fool to think upgraded TPI will work on this? New base, runners, 52mm TB, etc. I also have a stealth ram. Is this a better choice, or should I just ditch the cam altogether for something with less duration?

Will an LTR setup be completely useless? I only ask because if I run into fitment issues, I'll probably go back to the TPI.

Yes, that cams power band begins as the tpi begins to run out of breath.
