Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 4.56 screaming pave eating :-)
fuel pressure regulator??
anyone know how to take the fuel meter cover off to replace the regulator?? i have torq bit sockets but t10 wont budge it... seems to have notch in middle where socket supposed to go??? any ideas??

sounds like you have what they call security torx or tamper proof torx bolts but are using a regular torx bit. a security torx type bit has a small hole in the middle of it.

Not 100% certain, but I'm fairly sure that won't solve his problem. I think the included bit with the Crane regulator is a regular torx bit, and will not have the hole in the center to loosen the factory bolts.
If you don't buy the correct tool, grab a small wrench, and place the torx bit over one of the regulator housing bolts. Whack the bit into the bolt 2 or 3 times. That will allow you to loosen the bolt with a standard torx bit.

I bought a set of torx bits at the dollar store that had a hole in the middle and worked perfect! Go figure id find a set there?!
