BEST HEADS FOR A FULL STOCK 305

i have 1991 z28 stock 305 ,and was woundering where i should start at i was thinking some heads, intake, roller rockers,lifters, about all the gutts inside so if can help i would really be thankfull

start with general tune up. plugs, wires, coil, k&n etc. Then move onto exhaust. Headers and a cat back will really open things up. Then you can move on to the engine.

oh ya. the thread was mostly about heads. oooops. I stay with factory heads until you've done some decent modification to your engine. otherwise I doubt you'd see much gain. if any.

trick flow makes a set of heads specifically for smaller engines like the 305. i would go with those or get a set of LT1 heads converted for gen 1 small block use. the third option would be a set of vortec 350 heads milled to get the compression back in line.

Look at some World 305 heads, they have prove some good HP gain, also some vortec heads milled down to 58cc.

I agree with the above on the Trickflow heads. They are awesome for a 305 and not to shabby for a 350.
